expl.: although he was at times an enormous asshole i like Bukowski. you just gotta love his "no bullshit"-attitude. an attitude that´s constantly reflected in his work. with his poem "regardless", which basically makes up the lyrics of this song, he pretty much nails it: sometimes you´re at your best with your back against the wall. because when you´ve got nothing left to lose you can only surpass yourself.
